Welcome to Sail Josefine
Want a day to remember? Experience the thrill of sailing aboard a traditional classic boat.
Josefine is a 66 ft 1931 gaff rigged ketch, a traditional Danish wooden small ship, constructed of oak on oak, restored to high standards of comfort and safety.
Josefine's home port is Plymouth where she is moored in the Sound just off Mount Edgcumbe. In her home waters of Plymouth Sound she can be chartered for shorter sailing trips taking in such places as Cawsand, Kingsand, Eddystone lighthouse, Bovisand Bay, Jennycliff, the Mewstones, Whitsand Bay, Rame head, Drakes Island, Devonport or up the rivers of the Lhyner and Tamar. Charter cruises further afield are available in the South West of England, covering the beautiful unspoilt coastal areas of Devon, Cornwall, the Scilly Isles, Brittany, France, and the Channel Islands.

Josefine, not spelt Josephine, is manned with skipper and crew and can accommodate up to 12 visitors for day sailing, and 7 people for overnight cruising.
All prices include, crew, safety equipment, fuel and port dues. Food and drink for your trip can be supplied by prior arrangement or you can bring your own.
Guests are welcome to help run the boat, by setting sails, navigating, or taking the helm.
Alternatively you can just sit back, relax and enjoy the view of Josefine in full sail!

The Josefine experience
We can enable a wide variety of sailing experiences, ranging from corporate team building days to family holidays -the only limit is your imagination!
There are sailing opportunities available for group charters; including artists' days, specialist fishing or diving parties, sail training, corporate management team building, red letter days, hen parties, receptions, anniversaries, maritime festivals, film productions and, with sensitivity, the scattering of ashes at sea.
