Charter Information and Charter Rates

Josefine is based in the South West of England, and has her own mooring in Plymouth Sound just off Mount Edgcumbe. Josefine is a 1931 Danish kotter, a classic sailing vessel with an experienced Skipper and crew offer an exciting range of entirely unique and unrivalled opportunities along this spectacular and enchanting coast line.

  • Corporate Management Team Building, Josefine, with her timeless environment and versatile gaff ketch rig, is well suited for team building, promoting communication and understanding that are so vital in any organisation.
  • Three to Five Day Events, tailored to specific requirements, quoted to suit your itinerary.
  • Local Sail Days, for group charters including, day cruises, artist's days, specialist fishing or diving parties, hen parties, anniversaries, receptions, red letter days.
  • Maritime Festivals, Josefine will be attending several maritime festivals for traditional boats every year; a unique opportunity to take part aboard a classic sailing boat. Further details can be found on our Sailing Calendar and Festivals and Events pages.
  • Scattering of ashes, Josefine offers with sensitivity the scattering of ashes at sea.
  • Local Half Day Cruises, an opportunity to see the local coast line from this classic sailing boat. (Approx 4 hour sail) Details regularly published on our Sailing Calendar.

Costs are based on specific requirements, quoted to suit your itinerary, and, of course, we are more than happy for you to participate fully in the sailing experience should you so wish. Please contact us to choose your dates and sailing areas. A guide to Josefine's standard daily charter costs are shown below:-

  • Charter cost is £70 per person, based on a party of 12 for approx 9 hours.
  • Charter cost is from £103 per person, based on a party of 7 per 24 hours.
  • Local sail days, 9 hours £60pp. Half days, 4 hours £35pp.
  • All prices include, crew, safety equipment, fuel and port dues. Feel free to bring your own picnic, or we can arrange catering from a packed lunch to silver service to be enjoyed anchored in a beautiful bay or hove to at sea.

    A deposit of 50% becomes payable with any booking, with the balance due no later than 28 days prior to sailing.
